All opinions are my own. It’s been a while since I’ve done a real outfit post, and I feel a little out of practice! I don’t own many green dresses – actually, when looking for something to wear for this St. Patrick’s Day post, I found only this one.
I originally bought this Emily and Fin dress from ModCloth because it is a longer version of the Too Much Fun dress which comes in a variety of prints. I’ve worn a shorter plum-colored version on the blog before here and as a jumper here. While I was expecting the one above to be below the knee, I think this is a good length for spring and summer, and it’s still long enough that I don’t feel like I have to wear it with leggings.
I wish I had a field of clovers nearby to take pics! They have tons of them around here at certain times of year. I could even find a lucky four-leafer. My grandmother, who lived on the bayou, had a knack for finding them in her yard. She’d even find ones with five, six, and seven leaves! Either all of that swamp water made them flourish, or my Maw Maw must have had great eyes. Also, wouldn’t a little white clover flower crown be a great accessory? I decided the rainbow necklace would have to work instead. I got this necklace just before Christmas, and I’m looking for more opportunities to wear it. Maybe there’s a pot of gold in my future…
See? Green can look great beyond St. Patrick’s day!
As for me, I’m glad spring is here. There are so many colorful wardrobe options. Until next time – good luck!
