Striped Midi Skater Skirt from Torrid

Hi, there! We’re smack dab in the middle of Week 2 of my November Triple Take! I’ve been styling the above skater skirt in fall-friendly ways.

In the first outfit, I put a retro spin on the skirt with a peplum top, patterned tights, and statement jewelry. I decided to warm things up a little with Outfit 2.

DSC_2030yes_Fotor_FotorI’m so excited that I now can outfits that include sweaters! The day I took these pics wasn’t particularly cold (as you can tell by my bare legs), but this light sweater was not stifling in the least. Torrid has a rep for being pretty edgy, but I love that this skirt is so versatile that it can be used for a classic, polished look.

DSC_2039yes_FotorAs you can see, I didn’t go overboard with accessories. I kept it simple with a brown belt and shoes. While I love colors, crazy prints, and big jewelry, sometimes it’s a nice break from the usual to wear something simple and pulled-together.

DSC_2024yes_Fotor_Fotor_Collage_FotorThat’s two down, and one more to go for the week of the Torrid Midi Skater Skirt! How would you create a classic look for fall? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for taking a checking out the second outfit of the week, and join me again Saturday for look #3!

Beautiful sweater! That blue is a great color on you. We’re pretty much in full-on winter mode here now (it’s almost noon and still only 27 degrees), but I think the outfit I wore yesterday was pretty classically fall: a knee-length gray & white jersey dress, red cardigan, brown belt, and a navy floral scarf tied in a bow. I would’ve liked to have worn it with knee-high chestnut-colored boots, but so far haven’t found a pair that I like well enough to spend the money on. Dang, boots are expensive!

Sounds like a lovely outfit! Boots are definitely expensive. There is a grey pair that I’m hoping will go on sale. We’re having our first super cold days here, and I love it! Thanks for the kind words 🙂

Ooo I wanted to say that I liked the first outfit best because those cute patterned tights are amazing, but I think I like the second one even better. You pull off that chunky belt look perfectly every time (I can’t do wider belts, or maybe I just haven’t found the right way to style them.. who knows!) Your pictures are definitely an inspiration to try and mix it up a bit though and maybe give the thicker belt look another try.
