Welcome back! Thank you for joining me for week two of my November Triple Take. Last week, I showed you three ways to style a chambray shirt. Here’s this week’s versatile wardrobe piece:
I originally bought this skirt with a matching crop top and wore them together during my 30 Day Style Challenge. Since then, I styled three new fall-friendly looks, starting with today’s outfit:
The skirt is a more knee length and less “midi” on me because of my height, but this is my preferred skirt length, so I’m quite happy with it. I decided my first get-up should be retro-inspired, so I picked a teal peplum top with a cute tie detail at the neckline. The dotted tights also add interest and a subtle contrast to the stripes. And, what’s a retro look without a little bit of kitsch? I don’t get to wear my bee necklace and earring set too often, and the honeycomb bracelet continues the theme. I’ve seen many, many bees since I’ve been spending my weekends outdoors–I even saw some right before I took these pictures. While I’m kind of afraid of being stung, they’re actually adorable and interesting to watch, and they mostly leave me alone.
