Whidbey Island Top in Daybreak
Hi, again! I’m back with the second outfit in this week’s Triple Take. Every week in November, I’ll select a versatile piece of clothing and show you three different ways to wear it. As you may remember, I’ve been styling this chambray shirt.
If you take a look at Day 1, I wore the top layered under a cardigan for a “geek chic” look. I tried something the same, but different for Day 2:
The chambray shirt is still a layer underneath, but this time I wore it under one of my warm weather dresses for a jumper effect. Sammi, of the blog Soubrette Brunette, had the same idea with her “Too Much Fun” dress (same style as the one I’m wearing, but in a different print), but she puts a totally adorable retro spin on the look. Because the weather is only now becoming cool where I live, I still feel like I’m transitioning much of my summer clothing, and I haven’t completely made the jump to a fall wardrobe. The colors are definitely perfect for autumn, from the plum hue of my dress accessorized by different shades of brown, which could be blah, but with the other colors, it works!
